BRUTE FORCE at the LAN tournament! Interview with player PREPOD
PREPOD about his impressions at the LAN tournament, preparation for PMGC and more
Andrey "PREPOD" Lagunov answered the most interesting questions from the editors of BIGPLAY.GG. At the moment, we can say that the Brute Force team is a team for 2 regions. On 27-30, a LAN tournament was held in Saudi Arabia, where the teacher and his 3 foreign teammates played the tournament, now the main team, namely 4YDO, MIND, NEOZ, PREPOD are preparing for the large-scale PMGC tournament!
1. Now you are at the LAN tournament, tell us about your schedule
With the move to the Arab countries, the regime has changed a lot, because I go to bed at 3:00 / 4:00 / 5:00 in the morning. Accordingly, I do not really like this at all, but there is no choice at all. And now during LAN games start at about 16:00 / 17:00, depending on technical issues. My team and I get up at 11:00 - 12:00, watch map streams and arrive at the arena 1.5 - 2 hours before the games, warm up and play.
2. Tell me, have you had any other experience of LAN tournaments and, comparing with your previous experience, how did you like the organization? (pros and cons) Yes, I had LAN experience. We played with my team PMRC (not the main team), we played in English, just like now. The level is quite different. PMRC was a cut above in my opinion. The phone is shit droids. In general, the phones, headphones, the organization itself at PMRC was better. But I want to throw a huge plus to Saudi Arabia for the fact that they hold such tournaments in principle - it's very cool. It develops the region, the players. Gives you a chance to show yourself and so on, so I have great respect for that. And they work, they try to improve something - that's cool.
3. What emotions do you feel at LAN and what is the atmosphere like there? I have mixed emotions, that is, I'm kind of glad that I'm here and getting this experience. It's quite a difficult experience, because I have two players on my team who have never played tournaments, they are from the public. And one guy is Hasan, he is from the PMPL team and accordingly, we are trying to come up with something to do, but not everything works out. The atmosphere here is cool, everyone is friendly, they communicate, support. Even the stands support us, in general I like the atmosphere, everything is very cool.
4. What difficulties did you encounter when playing with new teammates from Saudi Arabia? Problems with understanding, not enough skill. We have two players who are kind of in hibernation, but we try to squeeze the maximum out of them, try to show them what and why we do this, so that they understand this for themselves in the future and become stronger. And I will change the game style on the second and third day, I think, because it is hard to play with them from the edge, because they do not quite understand what needs to be done. Well, we will see, we will show our maximum, as usual, and then you see, luck will come.
